'The Art Of Cedar'

‘The Art of Cedar’

On the 16th June 2025, our team at Cedar Health and Wellbeing had the absolute pleasure of hosting a very special event – The Art of Cedar, our first ever art show! The event took place in Fulwood, Preston and brought together our supported individuals, staff teams, families and supporters for a fun filled afternoon. The room buzzed with energy, excitement and pride as we celebrated the incredible talents and creativity of the individuals we support.

Expressing Talent and Individuality

More than just an art exhibition, ‘The Art of Cedar’ was a joyful and powerful expression of identity, growth and individuality. Each unique piece of artwork on display told a story – of imagination, effort and the personal perspective of each wonderful artist. It was a powerful reminder that creativity has no limits and everyone has something valuable and meaningful to share. The art show allowed our supported individuals to express themselves in their own way and the results were  inspiring.

Purpose-Driven

The idea for the art show was simple but meaningful; to give the individuals we support an opportunity to express themselves and showcase their talents in a space where they could truly shine. Over the weeks leading up to the event, our artists poured their energy and passion into their work, creating colourful, thought-provoking and personal pieces. This was a great way to include everyone and provide them with valuable projects and activities at home.

A Warm and Welcoming Event

From the very beginning, there was a strong sense of excitement, purpose and pride. Friends, families, staff and supporters gathered to take in the incredible collection of artwork and to celebrate the hard work and creativity behind each piece. It was heart-warming to watch everyone admire the displays, offering praise and sharing in the joy of the occasion.

More to Come

Whilst this was our fist Art Show, we absolutely love events like these, that bring our community together. They give us all a chance to reflect, celebrate achievements, and create shared memories that remind us why we do the work we do.

Thank You!

A big thank you goes out to Gelareh, our amazing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioner, who took the lead in organising the event and ensuring everything came together perfectly. We also want to thank our amazing staff teams for helping our supported individuals to prepare their artwork for the day, and to everyone who came along to show their support and appreciation on the day.

A huge well done and thank you to the artist themselves, who worked incredibly hard to make The Art of Cedar an unforgettable day!
