Stoneleigh: Our New Residential Home
We are delighted to announce that Stoneleigh, our newest specialist residential home in Liverpool, is officially open and was registered with CQC on 14th July 2026.
This exciting milestone represents another step forwards in our mission to support people with Learning Disabilities and Autism to reach their full potential, and enhance the quality of life, health and wellbeing.
Stoneleigh will provide a high-quality home for six adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities, offering personalised support in an environment specifically designed around each person’s individual needs.
Person-Centred by Design
At Cedar Health and Wellbeing, we believe that a person’s environment plays a vital role in supporting wellbeing, independence and positive outcomes.
Stoneleigh has therefore been developed using best practice design principles for adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Every aspect of the property has been carefully considered to reduce unnecessary environmental stressors while promoting comfort and choice.
Each individual will have their own private space, comprising a spacious bedroom, en-suite wet room and a separate living area. This provides individuals with their own personal space while still offering opportunities to enjoy communal living when they choose.
Alongside these private spaces, the people we support will also have access to welcoming shared areas, including a comfortable lounge, modern kitchen, dining room, communal bathroom and peaceful garden where social activities and relaxation can take place.
A Purpose-Built Home
Stoneleigh is a spacious, detached property spanning over four floors, with every area designed to provide both practicality and comfort.
The home features accessible wet rooms with specialist fittings, non-slip flooring throughout, dedicated medication storage, staff offices and welcoming communal spaces that encourage people to develop daily living skills in a safe and supportive environment.
The modern kitchen provides plenty of workspace for people to prepare meals, develop daily living skills and enjoy cooking. The adjoining dining room creates a welcoming space for shared meals, social activities and celebrations, encouraging opportunities to build relationships and enjoy time together. Outside, the secure garden offers a peaceful setting where people can relax, spend time in the fresh air and take part in activities.
Every environmental adaptation has been made with the the people we support in mind, ensuring Stoneleigh can be tailored to meet each resident's unique sensory, communication and support needs.
Specialist Support
As with all Cedar Health and Wellbeing services, support at Stoneleigh will be underpinned by person-centred planning and positive behavioural support. Our experienced teams work alongside the people we support, families and multidisciplinary professionals to understand what matters most to each person and support them to achieve meaningful outcomes.
We focus on building trusting relationships, promoting choice and control, developing independence and creating opportunities for people to become active members of their local community.
This personalised approach enables us to provide consistent, compassionate care and support that helps people live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Welcoming Our First Individual
Stoneleigh has already welcomed its very first individual, who moved into their new home on 16th July. The following day, they celebrated their birthday surrounded by their new support team, making the occasion a meaningful milestone for everyone involved.
Supporting someone to begin the next chapter of their life is exactly what Stoneleigh was created for. We look forward to welcoming more people into the home over the coming months and supporting each individual to settle in, build relationships and make Stoneleigh their own.
