Expanding Our Support: Creating More Opportunity Through New Services
We are proud to mark an exciting new chapter for Cedar Health and Wellbeing with the opening of both a new residential service and a supported living development. This growth reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support for adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities. While these services are different in their approach, they are untied by our core purpose: enabling individuals to feel safe, supported and empowered in a place they can call home.
Our Commitment to Personalised Support
At Cedar Health and Wellbeing, we are committed to supporting people to reach their full potential and enhance their quality of life, health and wellbeing. We believe that this is achieved through a flexible, person-centred approach that recognises each person’s evolving needs, preferences and goals. We recognise that every journey is unique which is why our experienced team works closely with each person, their families and all professionals involved in their care to gain a full understanding of what matters most. By doing so, we are able to develop personalised support plans that are tailored to each person’s specific requirements and goals, ensuring the right supported is provided.
Our New Residential Service – Leyland Lane
Our new Residential Service, Leyland Lane, is a detached, two-bedroom bungalow that has been thoughtfully designed to support the needs of two adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities. In line with all of our Residential Homes, each person benefits from their own independent living space, including a bedroom, living area and bathroom alongside access to welcoming shared spaces such as the communal living room, kitchen-diner and bathroom. Every aspect of Leyland Lane has been developed to incorporate ‘Best Practice Design,’ creating a bespoke environment, that ensures the specifications of each individual are met in a personalised way. Nestled within a friendly neighbourhood, the home also offers excellent access to local amenities, transport links and community activities, supporting people to remain connected and engaged.
Our New Supported Living Development – Butlers Farm
Butlers Farm, our new Supported Living Development, is ideally located in an established residential area, offering the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. The development provides a calm, community-focused environment offering a collection of five thoughtfully designed homes, supporting six adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities. Each home offers a well-designed layout across three floors, enabling people to enjoy their own space while remaining part of a supportive community. At Butlers Farm, support is fully tailored to each individual, with a strong focus on promoting independence, autonomy and choice, empowering people to live in their own home with the right level of support to suit their lifestyle and goals.
Creating Pathways, Choice and Progression
Having both Residential and Supported Living services enables us to offer genuine choice, recognising that each person’s needs, abilities and preferences are different and may change over time. By investing in a range of support models, we are able to respond proactively to emerging needs and provide flexible, future-focused pathways. Support is shaped around the individual and can adapt as confidence grows, skills develop and circumstances evolve. This approach allows people to feel secure and supported in their current home, while knowing that future opportunities remain open to them, empowering each person to progress at their own pace with the right level of support in place.
An Exciting Step Forward
The opening of our new residential service and supported living development marks an important milestone for Cedar Health and Wellbeing, but more importantly, it reflects our continued commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. We are incredibly proud of the teams who have worked tirelessly to bring these services to life and to create welcoming, supportive environments where people can thrive. As we look to the future, we remain focused on listening, learning and evolving our services to ensure we continue to meet the needs of the people and communities we support.
