Empowering Our Team Through Excellence in Training

At Cedar Health and Wellbeing, we believe that outstanding care begins with exceptional training. We are dedicated to ongoing learning and professional development, ensuring our support staff are equipped with the skills and confidence they need to provide the highest quality care for our Supported Individuals.

A Strong Foundation: Our Induction Programme

Every new member of our team embarks on a comprehensive three-week induction programme, designed to lay the groundwork for success. This structured training ensures staff are fully prepared for their roles, combining both theoretical and practical learning experiences.

Face To Face Training and eLearning

Our training program includes a comprehensive blend of face-to-face training and eLearning to ensure all staff are fully equipped for their roles.

New employees undergo two weeks of specialized, face-to-face training tailored to the specific demands of their position. This intensive training is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills necessary for success in their roles. Following this, they participate in one week of in-service observational shadow shifts. During this period, they gain practical experience by working alongside experienced professionals, allowing them to apply their learning in real-world scenarios.

In addition to face-to-face training, staff complete a thorough eLearning program. This program features bespoke pathways designed to align with the requirements of each specific role, ensuring that learning is relevant and targeted. Furthermore, all employees complete the Care Certificate, which guarantees that they meet national care standards and are well-prepared to provide high-quality support.

This robust induction is overseen by our in-house training team, who provide expert guidance and continuous support to ensure every staff member begins their journey with confidence and competence.

Ongoing Support and Bespoke Training

At Cedar Health and Wellbeing, training does not stop after induction, learning and development continues throughout their role. We recognise that the needs of the individuals we support are ever-changing, and we are committed to providing bespoke training that evolves alongside them.

Our in-house training team is always responsive, ensuring that staff receive any additional training required to continue delivering outstanding person-centred care. This flexibility allows us to meet the specific needs of both our staff and those they support. Where highly specialised skills are needed, we also have access to a network of external trainers who bring expert knowledge and advanced techniques to our workforce.

Positive Impact and Lasting Confidence

The impact of our training programme is reflected in the positive feedback we receive from our staff. After every session, we hear how our training empowers and inspires:

'I have gained invaluable knowledge.'

'Training has been engaging.'

‘The Trainers are very knowledgeable and the course is very interactive.'

'The course exceeded my expectations.'

'Outstanding training, everything explained in detail, which will make my job as a Senior more manageable and guide me to lead my team professionally.'

'Excellent sessions, I now feel confident going forward in my new role.'

By investing in continuous learning and professional development, we ensure that our team remains confident, competent, and committed to providing the best possible support for those in our care.

At Cedar Health and Wellbeing, we don’t just train our staff—we empower them to make a real difference.
