Easter Egg Design Competition
This Easter, we were delighted to host a fun and creative Easter Egg Design Competition, bringing together individuals from across our services in a celebration of imagination, colour, and creativity.
The competition invited the individuals we support to decorate their own Easter eggs at home, giving them the freedom to create something truly personal and unique. The response was fantastic, with 16 individuals taking part and submitting photos of their wonderful designs. Each entry reflected not only creativity, but also individuality and a great sense of fun!
A wonderful variety of designs
The variety of designs was wonderful. From the cleverly named “Elvis Preggsly” to adorable Easter chicks, there were eggs made into people sitting on a bus, a colourful ice cream cone and many bright, bold, and imaginative patterns. It was clear that a lot of thought, care, and creativity had gone into every single design, making it incredibly difficult to choose a favourite.
Once all the entries were received, the images were shared across the organisation and with families through a poll. Everyone was invited to vote for their favourite design, which proved to be no easy task.
Celebration, Activities and Prizes!
To celebrate everyone’s efforts, the individuals who took part were invited to our head office for a special Easter gathering. This was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and see each other’s designs displayed in person. There was a sense of excitement as participants explored the display, spotting their own creations alongside those of others.
During the visit, everyone also had the chance to take part in Easter-themed activity sheets, colouring the easter bunny and easter eggs, as well as word searches and mazes.
Each participant received a certificate to recognise their hard work and creativity, along with a bag of mini eggs as a token of appreciation for taking part. It was important to us that everyone felt valued and celebrated, as every entry brought something special to the competition.
The Winner
The highlight of the day was, of course, announcing the winner. After all the votes were counted, *Olivia was revealed as the winner of the Easter Egg Design Competition! She was absolutely delighted with the result, and it was wonderful to see how happy and proud she felt. *Olivia received a cream egg Easter egg as her prize, a well-deserved reward for her fantastic creation.
Recognising Talent
This competition was about so much more than just decorating eggs. It was about encouraging creativity, supporting self-expression, and creating an opportunity for the individuals we support to share their talents.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and grateful to all those who supported the event by voting and supporting the participants. Events like this remind us of the importance of inclusion, community, and recognising the unique strengths and creativity of every individual.
