Paul Nowell

Paul joined Cedar Health & Wellbeing Limited and Cedar Propco Holdings Limited in July 2022 as Head of Finance. With over 30 years of experience in accounting roles, Paul has developed a wealth of expertise across a variety of sectors. He began his career in professional practice, holding numerous positions including Accounts Manager, Training Manager, Assistant to the Managing Partner, and Practice Manager in small to medium-sized practices. This diverse experience provided him with exposure to a broad range of work and responsibilities.

After 23 years in professional practice, Paul made the decision to venture into highly regulated industries, including Financial Advisory and Insurance-related motor industry products, both regulated by the FCA.

Paul was drawn to Cedar due to the opportunity to utilise his strengths and contribute to shaping the direction of the businesses, collaborating closely with the Directors. His references speak to his strong work ethic, determination to succeed, and his professionalism. Known for his attention to detail and personable nature, Paul has built a reputation for getting the best out of those around him, which is invaluable when working as part of a team. He thrives on challenges and has demonstrated his ability to quickly and effectively adapt to any situation throughout his career.

On a personal note, Paul’s mother dedicated her career to caring for underprivileged children, and his girlfriend is a carer in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Paul’s family background has therefore instilled a deep respect for the care sector. Outside of work, Paul enjoys music, particularly live events, and spending time outdoors, especially in the Peak District.
