Noel joined the team at Cedar Health and Wellbeing in December 2023. He has an extensive background in Education having worked as a teacher in Primary education right across Early Years, Key Stages 1 and 2 for 21 years. Then he worked with unemployed adults supporting them to gain employment. Part of this included teaching Functional Skills English and Maths courses.
Noel then changed career and became a support worker in an Autism assessment unit. He has worked as a Senior Support worker in a residential home, supporting adults with a diagnosis of Autism alongside other associated disabilities for 3 years. During this time he began to move into a training role. This meant training new and existing support workers to work in the care industry to support adults with autism.
Before joining Cedar Health and Wellbeing, he worked as a Support, Time and Recovery worker on a PICU ward in a NHS Trust. This increased his knowledge and understanding in the field of Mental Health, whilst supporting patients to be discharged back into the community.
Noel is passionate about supporting people to reach their full potential and improve their quality of life. He is excited to have a role in developing and delivering effective training to support workers who can then have a positive impact on the lives of the people.
Outside his professional life, Noel is very family orientated, enjoying spending time with his extended family. When not spending time with family, he enjoys watching sport both live and on television. He has a particular passion for gardening and growing plants including for food. To relax, he reads novels, especially crime.
