Service Manager: Supported Living

Leonna Cowburn

Embarking on my journey in the adult care sector seven years ago, I dedicated myself to supporting residents with epilepsy and learning disabilities. For me, the essence of this work lies in cultivating meaningful relationships, providing unwavering support, and instigating positive change.

My professional journey brought me to Cedar Health and Wellbeing, where I initially entered as a support worker, specifically engaging with residents dealing with learning disabilities and autism. It was here that I discovered the true depth of my passion. Progressing to the role of Senior, I seized the opportunity to transition into a Team Leader position in Supported Living. In this developmental role, my dedication propels me to consistently broaden my knowledge and expertise, fueling an enduring eagerness to learn and adapt. While I've recently assumed this position, my sights are set on future progression, aspiring to guide and educate others on delivering care and support that truly honours and is worthy of every person.

I have a big family and love spending time with them, doing activities and going places. I love taking my dogs out and exploring new places they are a big part of my family. I also have two horses that my kids love to ride and spend time with.
