Karen Eastham, currently serving as the Human Resource Advisor and Mentor at Cedar Health and Wellbeing, brings a wealth of experience, exceeding 30 years, to her role in the Health and Social Care sector. Commencing her journey as a support worker, Karen's dedication propelled her to the position of Service Manager, specialising in providing support to vulnerable adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities.
Throughout her extensive career, Karen has effectively managed both residential and supported living services, consistently prioritising best practices delivered with a person-centered focus. Her unwavering passion lies in supporting individuals to attain a high quality of life, grounded in the belief that care and support should be tailored to the unique needs, preferences, and aspirations of each person. This philosophy forms the bedrock of her commitment to ensuring that services under her management not only meet compliance standards but genuinely enhance the well-being of those they support.
Playing a pivotal role in building and developing residential and supported living services, Karen collaborates closely with the Operations Director of Cedar Health and Wellbeing. Currently pursuing her CIPD Associate level 5 Diploma in Development in People Management, Karen aspires to step into the role of HR Manager at Cedar Health and Wellbeing upon completion. Leveraging her extensive skills and knowledge from previous roles, Karen is well-positioned to provide invaluable support to registered managers, ensuring the smooth running of services and addressing any concerns that may arise.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Karen finds joy in spending quality time with her family, particularly her granddaughter, and socialising with friends. Committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, she begins her day with a gym workout, a practice that keeps her motivated and focused for the challenges that may arise.
