Registered Manager Supported Living

Josh Hill

Josh is the Registered Manager of Supported Living at Cedar Health and Wellbeing, bringing over 13 years of extensive experience in the health and social care sector, particularly in specialist educational needs. He began his career as a support worker after university and quickly advanced to Senior Support Worker and Team Leader, in a residential care home specialising in Autism and Learning Disabilities. Combining his teaching background, Josh also served as an education coordinator, focusing on fostering life skills and independence.

He later took on Assistant Manager responsibilities across two services and continued to thrive, ultimately becoming Deputy House Manager. Transitioning into the education sector, he excelled as a Phase Leader, where he developed individualised curriculums, for post-16 learners with Autism and Learning Disabilities, emphasising independent living and developing communication skills. His subsequent role as Quality Manager at a charitable organisation, allowed him to enhance service quality, through curriculum framework development and behaviour support planning.

Joining Cedar Health and Wellbeing in October 2022, Josh became the Registered Manager of Grey Gables, guiding it through its first CQC inspection, before taking on Registered Manager for Supported Living. He is dedicated to promoting person-centred care and lifelong learning for supported individuals.

With a collaborative leadership style, Josh fosters a supportive environment that values the unique strengths of staff and residents. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with family and has a strong sporting background, having played football semi-professionally and competitively in cricket. His caring and empathetic nature drives him to strive for the best outcomes for those in his care.
