Josh, the Registered Manager of Grey Gables at Cedar Health and Wellbeing, brings over 12 years of comprehensive experience in the Health and Social Care and Specialist Educational Needs sector. His journey began as a support worker post-university, where he swiftly ascended through the ranks to become a Senior Support Worker and Team Leader in an Adult residential care home specialising in Autism and Learning Disabilities. Demonstrating versatility, Josh embraced a split job role, leveraging his teaching degree background as an education coordinator to foster life skills and independence. Assuming Assistant Manager responsibilities across two services, he continued to flourish, ultimately reaching the position of Deputy House Manager.

Transitioning into the education sector, Josh further honed his expertise, serving as a Phase Leader. Here, he meticulously crafted individualised curriculums for post-16 learners with autism and Learning Disabilities, focusing on developing independent living skills, communication, and regulation. His journey continued with a charitable organisation, where he excelled as a Quality Manager. In this pivotal role, Josh played a crucial part in developing a curriculum framework, behaviour support planning, individual curriculums, and tutor development plans, significantly elevating the quality of the service provided.

Eager to continue his journey in adult social care, Josh joined Cedar Health and Wellbeing in October 2022. Armed with a rich skill set cultivated through diverse experiences and effective team management, Josh is deeply committed to promoting person-centred care and ongoing learning for residents as they transition into their adult lives.

With a strong foundation in management practice, Josh brings a collaborative and empowering approach to his role as Registered Manager. His leadership philosophy centres on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, where the unique strengths and talents of both staff and residents are recognised and valued. Through effective team management, Josh ensures that Grey Gables operates not only as a place of residence but as a community that thrives on individual growth and collective well-being.

Beyond his professional life, Josh is a family-oriented individual who cherishes moments spent with loved ones outdoors. With a notable sporting background, including playing football at a semi-professional level and cricket to a high standard, Josh maintains an active involvement in competitive sports, encouraging others to participate. Known for his caring and empathetic nature, Josh consistently strives for the best outcomes for the people under his care.
