Chris Overton

With eight years of dedicated experience in the health and social care sector, Chris has been a valuable asset to Cedar Health and Wellbeing (CHW) since November 2021, currently holding the position of Head of Quality. In this pivotal role, Chris is at the forefront of ensuring that CHW's services not only meet regulatory compliance but also exemplify the highest standards of care for each supported individual.

Starting his career as a support worker, he swiftly progressed to the role of Senior Support Worker, honing skills in complex care. Advancing through positions like Deputy Manager and PBS and Transition Lead, Chris played a key role in driving business growth and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities.

In his previous capacity as Training and Development Manager, Chris orchestrated the development of a robust workforce, overseeing 200 employees and spearheading the creation of essential policies, procedures, and comprehensive training materials. Chris's passion for staff development is evident, actively engaging in designing learning pathways, and his distinctive commitment to education as a unique selling proposition (USP) for Cedar Health and Wellbeing. His focus on continuous improvement aligns seamlessly with his overarching goal of achieving improved outcomes for the supported individuals under our care.

In his current role, as Head of Quality, Chris applies his wealth of experience to craft operational processes that guarantee the best possible care outcomes. Chris will still be responsible for the Training and Development department ensuring the continued excellence in staff education and professional growth. While holding the position of Head of Quality, Chris leverages his extensive background to meticulously design operational processes that not only ensure the highest standards of care outcomes but also maintain a steadfast commitment to the ongoing development of the Training and Development department. His dual responsibility underscores a holistic approach, where quality assurance seamlessly integrates with the nurturing of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce, ensuring that CHW remains at the forefront of providing exemplary care and education.

With a rich background in staff management and training, Chris excels in creatively solving challenges. His journey encompasses not only honing the skills required for successful team leadership but also delving into the intricacies of creating documentation tailored to operational needs.
